Hi all,
I am selling a very stylish, bespoke fitted, luxury wide beam boat 65 x 12.6’ (Boat delivered new in 2021, Fitting finished 2023). It’s been a labour of love and home for the last three years.
The boat was built and delivered to my bespoke plan from Collingwood in January 2021, and I have lived aboard for the past three years travelling on the grand union, and also permanently moored for 1.5 years in beautiful Hertfordshire (Ware) on the river Lee.
Taking on the boat life it has lived up to its reputation and I have enjoyed every bit of it. However, this year I am moving on and I am putting her up for sale.
I can point new owners to a couple of marinas and moorings where I have stayed and where they will gladly have her back.
The stunning interior, initially inspired by a South-American colour palette, brings a contemporary open plan living space and has the feel of a modern apartment. With 8 port hole windows and 2 large kitchen windows, plus a hatch, you bring in lots of light and ambience.
Cabin head height is 2.175m.
The modern layout and feels open and airy with a finish of copper piping for the corridor shelves, clothing rails, and copper ceiling to the stove area.
The U-shaped open kitchen with centred table feels modern and homely. Leading on to the lounge area I have a installed 7.5k wood burning stove and the boat is heated by modern radiators powered by the Webasto heating system.
The first single bedroom is fitted with a single bed, clothes rail and small shelf making it a perfect space for family or friends.
The large bathroom has a modern, stylish design with white metro tiles and dark grey grout. A 1m x 1m shower unit with black trim, varnished wood cabinets and worktop and a Compost toilet system with air filter system (this works together with the Hotbin outside, for those interested in the best toilet options on boats!)
The corridor leads to the large master bedroom which comfortable fits a king sized bed with ample room either side. Double doors lead out to the bow area providing lots of light - perfect for a morning coffee.
The boat is fully fitted with a Webasto heating system, 575L water tank plus 250L extra water butt to top up when needed.
If you’re dreaming of the wide beam boat life, then this really is very special, here’s a few reasons why:
LIVING OFF GRID
Living on a boat is a fabulous ide life style that can save you £££’s against the ever growing cost of renting or mortgages in London. Free to move anywhere on the canal and river systems. WIth
1050W of solar panels, a battery set up of 5x120AH leisure batteries plus 1x105AH engine battery. With a total of 825 litres of water aboard.
SOLOR PANELS
The 4x100W + 2x320W panels provide the batteries with enough power all through the March to October months to hardly need to run the engine running. Running through two EPEVER MPPT Solar Charge Controllers (20A +60A) these are hidden away behind a secret panel in the kitchen.
BATTERIES
I reinstalled 5 x 120AH leisure batteries and 1x Engine battery after doing a power audit and understanding how much power I needed. Solar panels and the engine provide power to the batteries. There is a further battery on the bow end of the boat that powers the bow thrusters.
HEATING CONTROL
The Webasto heating system is controlled by the simple timing control panel located on the kitchen wall, where you can set weekly timers etc. The Webasto relies on diesel to run and very little electricity from the 12v system.
STOVE
I installed a large 7.5k wood burning stove with single flue pipe to the chimney. This keeps the boat warm and toasty in the winter months. And extra toasty if you have the radiators on too, almost too much! The stove burns smokeless coal and dried hard and soft wood.
WATER TANK + EXTRA TANK
The boat was fitted with 575L insulated tank at the bow. Since then I added a 250L water butt which provides an extra 2 weeks water if used responsibly.
BOW THRUSTERS
Bow thrusters are fitted at the front, and are definitely a must have on a boat this size providing easy manoeuvrability.
ENGINE
The boat is fitted with a 70T Canaline engine, the extra power you get from this means that no strain is put on the engine, and it’s perfect for the river rides in stronger waters.
The engine bay is like new, with 5 services been done regularly in the 3 years it’s been on the water.
KITCHEN
The kitchen was created with an IKEA kitchen theme. Plenty of space for storage in an open U shaped design. Full working Hotpoint gas oven, Beko Washing machine, SMEG under counter fridge and sink/drainer. Plus bespoke made wooden worktops and finished with danish oil.
SKYLIGHT
The Skylight is a key feature of the boat located over the kitchen allowing plenty of natural light to come through.
HIGH CEILING
The boat has an unusually high ceiling giving a wonderful feel of space and forgetting you are on a boat.
TILED MODERN BATHROOM
The bathroom is unusually large for a boat and gives you the freedom to relax and refresh. The large 1Mx1M shower feels luxurious and modern next to the metro tiles. Plenty of storage available under worktop in the shelving areas. And a single basin, towel radiator and wall mirror.
COMPOST TOILET + HOTBIN
I decided that the compost toilet option is the best for off-grid living with a wide beam. The toilet is fitted with an air filter system that means no smells ever. A fresh bucket and pee bottle. Using this toilet together with the large HOTBIN outside is a good combination, only having to empty the Hotbin every 6 months. (Some learning is required to correctly use this method, but also there is plenty of room should you want to install a pump out toilet in the future. Although I highly recommend this one.)
NO SIGN/NAME
As a nearly new boat I still haven’t had the signage done on the outside - this technically means you can rename the boat and add one yourself. (Although check the old rituals about renaming boats!)
BOAT COLOUR
The boat paint job is unique - MIDNIGHT BLUE and turquoise roof. This gives it a modern and contemporary feel. It really stands out.
BOAT WiFi - Vodafone Gigacube
I can leave the Vodafone Gigacube if you want it. It’s provided fast WIFI together with the 4G/5G Huawei aerial connected on the roof. I have cancelled the contract but it runs out in April sometime. A new contract is approx £62 per month for unlimited broadband.
PART FURNISHED
I’m offering this boat as part-furnished, so if there’s anything you want to keep we can discuss, it’s all free, making the boat literally ready to move on!

TV
IKEA Shelves
Single bed
Kingsize bed
Compost toilet
Wifi Cube and Aerial
Rug
Coffee table
All white goods (fridge, washing machine, cooker...)

SALE OF THE BOAT
I used ProMarine Finance to buy the boat, and have a settlement to pay with them. They have agreed to handle the sale free of charge and will generate a bill of sale for the new owners. Once paid they will transfer the deeds of the boat to the owner.
BLACKING
The boat has just completed its blacking at Uxbridge Boat Centre in March 2024. We added two coats of Bitumen and it’s looking like new.
BOAT SURVEY
While at Uxbridge Boat Centre I had the Hull surveyed professionally by Barry Burnel. The outcome was absolutely fine and he recommended two extra anodes per side, which were also carried out. This report is available on request.
